Can you imagine those shoes?

Actually these shoes are designed for mountain warfare or for traversing difficult terrain,being made from stout leather and equiped with heavily hobnailed soles.The pom-pom fringe is not purely decorative as they used to attach blades at the tip of the shoe and hide them under it.This kind of shoe had a nasty surprise for any opponent when it came to close range fighting!
