Here's one I finished a few months ago and am only now getting around to posting. It's Pegaso's 54mm Bersaglieri. I didn't take notes (as I usually do) on the colors I used, but I think the blue was based on W&N Indigo. I consciously tried to tone down the blue, keeping it more toward a gray, as some of my prior efforts with painting blue resulted in colors that were too "true." I'm not sure I succeeded, but it looks good to me.

I'm not sure my photography skills do the figure justice, as I feel it looks better in person. Really, it does!

It surely looks good Steve, i'm about to use indigo as well for a blue figure of mine.. i hope that it won't turn that grey. My experience in oils says that Indigo can create really nice blueish colors.. your example really proves that.

Steven,
Looks really good to me. I've heard from others what you said about indigo as well. I think I'll give it a shot soon.

Good job!

Hello Steven,

This figure looks really, really good. Blue is a very hard colour to work with, but your have done a great job. congratulations.

Hi Steven

Looks great!
I like the blue a lot.
And the gloves and base look super too!

Dear Steven, your figure looks good. Don't worry about the photography as this is a close up shot. Even at such close range I still think that it is good.

regards

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This was a very enjoyable figure to paint and I'm very happy with the results.
