Hail the Planet
Finished this at the weekend, A very good kit by my favorite sculpter Victor Konnov

Quite a tricky little chap to construct and paint as are all Samurai. lots of sub assemblies to paint before assembly, but still a very enjoyable figure to do and not to many swear words!
Next up, back to the busts!
Have a look

Cheers

John

Nice work, John. The groundwork is right on, too.

By the way, did you satin finish the lacquered armour. Not sure if you did, by way of the pics. Also the armour could do with some shadin' to bring out the details.
Nice one, nonetheless.

Hi Paul
I did quite a bit of research on laquering the armour and although it was laquered I could not found out how much of a shine or gloss it was
There is a slight sheen especially on the helmet but I left the rest a natural finish
I gave the armour a few black oil washes which took down the sheen but didnt want to dull it any more
Thanks for all your comments gang much appreciated
Cheers
John
