Carl, I meant no offense as I was joking about the paint, which is beautiful in its own right, just not Native American. I really appreciate the steer horn head dress as these were pretty common once domestic cattle were widespread, and yours is about the only model figure I have seen it on. The drooping nature of the horns is also a big plus as most figures with this sort of headgear feature the horns upright and this was by no means standard. Still looking forward to your buffalo hunt!

Hi Steve,

There was no offence taken mate!!!

The bonnet is a little different, and not normally seen as you say, so I thought it would be better to explain it.

Hi Folks,

I please find attached images of the master sculpt of the Sioux bust, together wth images of the bonnet. This was worn by Chief "White Bull" at the "Little Big Horn",He was rumoured to be the Indian that killed Custer. As you will see from the bottom image the split horns hang down.

Sorry, a reference to a movie of my misspent youth.
Back in 1958 or so, the Disney company released a movie called Tonka, about a cavalry hrse that survived the Custer battle. Sal Mineo, an Italian, starred as White Bull. This was a bone among native people for some time...using non-Indians as Indians.
