Been working on this one for a few months and would like to see what you guys think of it so far. I still have to touch up on the flesh (highlights on the legs). Have tried to keep it to earthy tones for the tartan and shirt which is my first attempt at using "magicsculp" as the figure comes bare chested. The shoes dtill to be finished along with the knife and scabbord which are not in position yet. Painted in oils over enamels. Just a bit to do to the groundwork which has been extended a bit and i used the paper ferns from Kamizukuri and grass from Heki.

Looking good Barrie, I always thought you would have to be brave to go traipsing around the highlands half naked. I know you Jocks are a tough bunch, but come on!;)

Hello Barrie,

Wonderful groundwork and paintjob.

A figure is very excellent.
I liked a ground work in particular.
The very wonderful finish.

G'day Barry,

When I saw the box art for this kit my first thought was "He'll freeze his tits off dressed like that". I'm pleased to see you've given him some decent clothing. My only suggestion is you could enlarge the pupils a little and better define the eye by painting a dark line (black or dark brown) under the upper eyelid. The painting and ground work is very nice.

Very nice Barrie..........
Looks like the majority who has this kit, are all tempted to dress him up a bit better and keep him nice and warm :) welldone on that!!!!

Ray ;)

Nice work Barrie!

Love the groundwork - especially the ferns. I also like the changes you've made. In my experience, going around the Highlands like the original figure, you would either catch your death of cold or be eaten alive by midges!!
