Geoff Charman
A Fixture
Have been quiet lately but with this lovely weather and after having the new garden fence erected, the garden needed to be tidied up, so my dear boss said.
So back to my new busts, this one is by Pegaso Models and as I fancied a bit of armour I purchased from Matt at El Greco the 1/9th ECW Pikeman.
A very nice clean bust, minimal cleaning up, head attached to the body, separate resin helmet and white-metal chinstrap with guards, there are some long strands of his hair attached to these two pieces so care needs to be taken on the cleaning up.
I started with my usual eyes first using acrylics then the flesh with Artist's oils.
While the oils were drying I started to paint the helmet using a couple of coats of Citadel Leadbelcher acrylic base followed by a coat of Citadel Nuln Oil Shade Wash.
I shall now apply very sparingly a touch of AK Truemetal Steel with a piece of cloth lightly on the sides and edges.
Pics later.
