Dear Simon, how are you?
Do I think about Vercingetorix?
the illustration that you have inserted it is much exsplanatory! the subject is very very … cartoon!
Who knows if somebody will make Vercassivellauno like Obelix?
Cheers
Robert

I was at the Kulmbach show and the 90mm Figure is a VIKING !!!!! and not Vercingetorix.
They also have (and I bought it) a fantastic 75mm mounted Roman Cavalryman....This is absolutely stunning. The mounted Tamerlane in 90mm is a great peice of work and they also had a new Fantasy peice (Looks kind of Samurai-like with a sabre toothed animal next to him)All in all there were some great new items on sale.
I also got a new PILIPILI Bust which I had never seen before of a Viking....EXCELLENT SCULPTING QUANG.....Please show us the pictures.
Regards
Pete

Is there any chance you can show us a box art or do a review of that figure? I am extremely interested in that subject.

By the way. Why do not we see any new releases on the Pegaso and Romeo sites? Does this mean that any new product will be available at the end of the September, after euromil?

Hi Piotr,
sorry I cant post pictures mate, but if you go to www.agmfclub.com and click on the left hand side Ausstellungen there appears show reports.Click on to Kulmbach 2009. There are a good selection of pictures there the new mounted roman from Pegaso is the 19th picture down on the right (White Horse) painted by Franco Mocci.

Maybe it's me but is Vercingetorix suffering from puny head syndrome? ~Gary
Not just you.

Quite apart from the fantasy winged helmet, that 'Viking' is interesting in how much of it is dodgy, quite something on a single figure. Not that the buyers will care generally of course

As i cannot find this figure On the Pegaso site, and it looks very familliar to me i researched where the figure came from.
In my opinion it is a Soldiers figure sculpted by Marco Luchetti and it's called:
Mounted Roman Praetorian Guard 2nd Century AD

Marc

sorry marc, but the figure on the site I mention is definately the Pegaso 75mm mounted peice and not a soldiers 54mm. As I said, I bought this item from Pegaso and it is item 75-903 Mounted Roman Cavalryman with a black and white picture on the box as it was only just released at the Kulmbach show. The painted one was painted by a friend of mine who works on the Pegaso stand Franco Mocci.

Pete

Pete,
thanks for the update. If you had mentioned that it was a 75mm i would only asked when it came out.
Yes, a 75 is not that soldiers figure, but you have to admit it is a good look a like.

Thanks Pete for the link. It is a nice piece. I just wonder when Pegaso is going to release it. Does anyone have any idea?

all the figures are very beautiful. I like a lot Vergingetorix but.. I have a doubt about him... all the armour, the sword, the sax, the helmet etc. are of the viking era , i think is better to represent this figure as a viking chief ... and for the wings.. ? we didn't know, but we can image a viking who enjoied himself putting two wings on his helmet....
