1:4 scale resin cast garage kit Penguin bust sculpted by Sean Main and produced by Dave Nicholson at KillerKits. Finished in a mix of oils and acrylics, the bust won a Gold at this years Sword and Lance show. The last picture shows the other 2 busts in the series, Batman and Robin. The Bruce Wayne mini bust was created out of the optional head for the Batman.

Superb bust and a great collection all together like that. Really like the yellow on the waist coat.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon. My first real go at yellow which I know can be a challenging colour to paint.
I keep detailed notes on all my figures ( paint mixes, techniques, things that work and don't work etc) and checking back I used an acrylic base mix of scale75 sol yellow + orange leather followed by oil paint base of cadmium yellow + yellow ochre shaded with raw sienna and highlighted by adding small amounts of white to the base colour.
It's a nice collection and I was hoping more figures would be done but I think that might be it.

Thanks for that, I do consider using oils over the acrylics at times, maybe selectively for difficult colours, though that probably covers most of them!

I think the DC based figures are in the shadow of Marvel same as with the films.
