I don't do much WWI stuff but this is a very original subject and I like it a lot. The tea mug is a nice touch as well.

One for WWI buffs for sure. Especially guys who don't enjoy painting faces - you can get away with the bare minimum on this one!

Thanks for sharing this , a good subject from a theatre of war not that often depicted ......nice piece telling a story as well , ideal for painting as Steve says ...plenty of scope ( not a pun ! )

Yes, I think a nice trio would make this work.....Stand by itself ? Not so much.... But then who would understand as a casual viewer? Very nice work...Serious potential...
