Persian War Elephant

I've finally finished my 60mm elephant that I'll be using for wargaming.

Many thanks to Valiant for all the work he did making the howdah for me and fixing the mahout to the elephant.

I added extra planning on the howdah and then, having been inspired by the First Legion Persian elephant (I'd need to win the Lottery to afford one of those!!!!!), I added "nails" to the howdah (pins so bought from a haberdashery store) and then the chains (bought from a model shop store.)

That was a pain in that it took me 4 hours!!!!!

The great thing (or would some say It's cheating?) is that when you buy the Toy elephant it comes ready painted, and quite nicely too.
So all you need to do (if you so desire) is to give it a washyo emphasise the dark areas/ creases of the skin
