I notice that one PF "Member" has posted no less than 6 separate threads in the Marketing and commission section today. These are all figures from the "Toy Soldier" arena.

Is this suitable for PF? Are we a modelling forum or just being used as a sales outlet?
Why 6 threads surely one thread with a link to his Ebay site should be enough.
This person is also selling non associated items so is PF just being abused?

Just a few thoughts.................Claude

I'd like to agree with the previous caller !

The title of the forum is PLANET figure.
Be honest with yourself mate, no matter how well our miniatures are painted,
they are just our expensive toys, what does it matter?
There's probably more serious things to worry about.
If you don't buy 'em the poster has wasted his own time.

Paul.

I understand you're an expert on abuse but I don't see anything abusive about using the Market and Commission forum for the purpose for which it exists.
A mystery really how it affects you in a negative way.......cheer up Claude......

3 likes, 3 dislikes...........pretty even split there.......I just thought I would raise it.............not really a great concern apart from the fact that I use blogtrotter and so deleting 6 posts instead of one was a bit of a bind first thing this morning. Just seemed 6 posts when one would have been sufficient was a bit excessive.

Have a good weekend everybody-lovely weather in the UK.

I noticed that as well Claude. This guy drops in from time to time and posts up stuff that he's flogging, then disappears again until the next time he has something that he wants to offload.

As far as I can tell he doesn't seem to have a great deal of success (at least not on here). So as Paul says it's mainly just his own time that he's wasting, he's not really doing anyone any harm.

The only issue I'd have with it is that creating a separate thread for each individual "for sale" item rather than doing what most people do and listing them all in a single thread is a bit unfair on other members, as it can "hog" a large chunk of the first sub-forum page, resulting in other members' posts being bounced off onto page 2 where (let's face it) few people really bother looking.

This is more a general point than one specific to him, because he's not the only one who does this. Maybe we could consider a rule whereby if someone is selling more than a couple of items, they should be asked to put them all in a single thread.

I'll refer the other mods and Admin to this and see what they think.

I still think the name he uses is offensive.
