Does anyone have the article from Military Modelling where Phil Kessling painted a 54mm Metal Modeles French Dragon using Artist Oils please?

Andrew, No, I am looking for the one of the 54mm Metal Models French Dragon from Napoleonic Wars.

Thank you though for responding. I greatly appreciate it!(y)

Hi Terry,

I have a reasonably extensive database where Phil Kessling appears 27 times.
The Napoleonic dragoon (Metal Modeles) does not appear.
However, his article on 'Painting a Face' does feature that dragoon.
Perhaps that was what you were recollecting:-

These articles by Phil are how I learned to paint. Uncomplicated colour mixes, clearly explained with excellent photography. He did an amazing article on painting a bust for the Historical Miniatures 1998 World Expo (Toronto) special issue.

I still refer to that article every time I paint to this day.

Any chance you could point me to in the right direction to find the article you mention about the bust Thanks for any info

Paul,
I am doing good. Hope you and the family are as well. Thanks for the info on the article. My books and magazines are as disorganized as my grey army!
