Great post, I saw these a while back and intend to print them off and frame as a set.
Really nostalgic, thanks for posting.
There is a page somewhere where it describes the collection and the age of the veterans at the time of the photographs taken.

Interesting to see the cut and drape of the uniforms. The pelisses are all worn off rather than over the shoulder - something that I have never seen modelled. An interesting collection - I asume the uniforms were over forty years old and not made up for the occasion.

Amazing - never seen these before so absolutely fascinated.
I didn't know until a few years back when I got a biography of Wellington that a photo of him existed - when I saw that for the first time it was like a genuine time machine moment. This is the picture...

Also there is this one of Fitzroy Somerset (Lord Raglan during the Crimean War) Duke of Wellington's military secretary and present at Waterloo. He had his arm amputated after the battle. It's quite well known image but thought I'd post it as we're talking Veterans of the Napoleonic period.
