Bust

Tony /Mark

Nice to see the different versions , you both have captured the youth , this is a cracking bust beautifully sculpted as normal and I am sorely tempted !!!!!!!

Here are a few more pics. I've dusted the khaki uniform and slouch hat with pastels to reduce shine from the acrylics and make him look at bit dusty.

Still more painting to be done:eek:

Nice results Tony

captured well, finished nicely, the pastels add the right touch of character to the uniform.

Are we going to see a portrait shot of you in Regalia as side by side with your new bust?:D;)

Well, sweltering here in apple isle, with a total of 24 degrees C the other day....

mind you, in winter, we chop holes in the ice before we go for a paddle along the beach...:D

cheers

Thanks Jamie,

It's close to 39 degrees here today and I've just finished mowing the lawn (or the area covered by weeds where the lawn used to be:D:D). Now to sit down for the next few hours, watch the cricket on TV and pray the air conditioner keeps working.

Here's a pic of my mate Kevin, a member the Australian Light Horse re-enactment troop pictured on ANZAC Day in Western Australia last year, in original, authentic Light Horse regalia (I can't fit into it anymore:eek::eek::eek:).

The slouch hat is not WW1 era, but WW2 (you can tell by the sandy coloured pugaree). WW1 pugarees were mostly dark green/khaki in colour.
