This is the now pretty old 120mm figure from Pilipili.
She is very much out of my comfort zone, being a larger scale, female and Native American, so several challenges!
I’m happy so far with the flesh tones although it took a little bit of tweaking to get to something I was happy with.

Still a long way to go and the beading will eventually add splashes of colour

You're doing quite a good job, IMHO. Nice Native American skin tone. Nice color choices. Nice brush work. And kudos to you for stepping outside of your comfort zone. (Incidently, I rather like this figure. Some of Pilipili's old offerings were very interesting. A little off the beaten path.)

Thanks.

Some very esoteric subjects from PiliPili. This, I think, was always my favourite.

Bead work on the cape. This is based on an actual museum piece. Took a while to work out how to approach it - you can see how it began on the unfinished other arm.

Also tried to make a colourful reflective look in the abalone shell necklace, with pastel colours.

I really like the texture work on the dress and the yellow part (chest and arms). The pearls give a nice plus, bravo!!

That's some really detailed painting on the beads that must have taken a while, but not as long as making the real thing.
