And why not in the German Pilot Wilhelm FRANKL, the "Jewish knight", 20 victories, awarded "Pour le Merite", not so famous due to the 3rd Reich "politic ".

Regards.
I am impatient to see your work, which is always amazing.

I couldn't load all photos of the listed pilots.
But I can't embrace immense, I can't all pilots who were at war)), But it is quite possible if there will be buyers I will make also these pilots.

Thank you for the placed photos.

Look forward to seeing this range of busts which should look great displayed alongside the 1/32 model aircraft kits by "Wingnut Wings", "Roden" etc.

I know that many of these pilots were let already out in the form of busts, but I will do all the same the option

I wouldn't began to call it a series, it simply will be the well-known people. Me doesn't frighten that at me can "steal idea" at me there is the style of a molding and I think my works will be recognizable, I will try to work very qualitatively and to do authentic faces.

These are preliminary sketches, they will be corrected still

Here first sketches of two pilots. At the first stage I will do the most difficult - portraits of pilots, then I will do all the rest.

1) Göring Hermann Wilhelm

2) Rudolf Berthold

Rudolf Berthold looks great, with a beat of aristocratic expression, for Göring, (perhaps because i don't like this pilot-this kind of pilot in the WWI, not what he did after, it's not the subject), i think it's missing a king of haugtiness in his face expression.
But i'm sure you will keep it.

for Göring, (perhaps because i don't like this pilot-this kind of pilot in the WWI, not what he did after, it's not the subject)
War always is murder, all of us here collect murderers. Some collect ancient such as Alexander the Great and Napoleon, Who that more modern. We consider some as heroes, others consider the same people as criminals and traitors. War it always blood therefore reasonings on this subject are excessive.
These are simply Historical characters. soldiers.

Fex ,

Thanks for posting these are great subject sand I for one have my eye on more than one or two when they come out ...it will be fascinating to see this progress .

Great start on Goering and Berthold ...and it matters not that some of the pilots have been released before as busts ..your talent and skill will create stunning works ......and lots of wonderful details as well (medals etc)

Well done keep us all updated as I already love what you have done.

Excellent work so far. Before this thread goes off at a tangent about Goering and irrespective of what and who he LATER became, for the time period of this subject undertaken by the sculptor the bloke WAS a brave and skillful fighter pilot; so let's leave it at that eh? Hope to see some of these busts come to fruition so I can pop some in the cabinet along with the 'Wingnutwings' aircraft builds I have planned.
