Looks great! Very Elvgren - as most (all?) of their Pin-up Series are. I trust Andrea will be bringing a bunch of these to the Lone Star Figure Show this weekend.

Not my 'genre' but am mightily impressed with the interpretation of silk and stockinged flesh tones...almost photo-realistic! :)

I love Neyla's work, she's an awesome sculptress. :notworthy:

Totally, the sheer effect of flesh through thin fabric is excellently done (y)

Not Vargas. It's Gil Elvgren's, The Right Number, painted in 1961. The sculptor has added the complete phone (only the handset is visible in the painting) and the red hassock. You can find an image of the original painting on Google images easily enough.

The figure, part of Julio Cabos' well deserved 'People's Choice' award, was on display at the just finished Lone Star Figure Show. The sculpting and painting is every bit as good as the pics above! I was disappointed that Andrea did not have the figures for sale at the show. Apparently, they're still on the boat...

Hi

Anyone know of ant forums or links for help in painting these Pin up figures, I would love to give some of these a go but need to know more about the painting before I take the plunge. I have both Andra Books on the subject but still would like to know more before I put brush to figure.

Thanks

Paul
