it looks pretty early in the painting but the shadows and highlites need to be more extreme. The face needs a lot of this also. I like the colors so far.

Looks like you're off to a nice start. Like Mike said, keep playing with your shadows and highlights. Thanks for sharing your work. Post some additional pictures as you paint more of the figure.

Red is notorious for being shiny. I'd get some Tamiya X21 Flat base, and add a touch to your water. That'll kill the shine.
Carl.

Good work, but much much more to do on highlight and shading.
For the shining: i saw a clubmember doing a small drop of mat varnish (Vallejo) into his paint.
Maybe it helps...
Marc

as I said and Helmo forun I like the way it started, only if I may. slight correction to the whites of the eyes. Avoid using white because it ends when the person is not close to reality. select a color close to white. For example, the ivory ANY light flesh Concerning the red now avoid using white in the mixing of red for the lighting because t the color that comes out will be pink. Normal to a color close to the orange-always mixed with our basic red. usually use vermilion or scarlet.

In the shadows I use the tops a darker red and the lower parts of the basic mixing with prusian blue (minimum)

For high light in red adds to the mixing of scarlet-vermilion, and minimum ice yellow

GOOD LUCK

Hello guys, here I am one more time, looking for some help...
Kinda had a lack of inspiration the last days, particularly in the search
of the waist cloack -or should I say belt?- colour....
I am talking about the piece of fabric around my friends waist...:)
I would like to have a nice and vivid colour in this spot, but...do not really know which one!!!
So, if you really think of something, with the appropriate colour codes
in vallejo acrylic if you can share them, I would be more than gratefull...(y)
