First off, GET WELL Tommi!
Some new items and features have been added to planetFigure to bring you the best and most comprehensive venue for figure discussion and news.
Added 11-23-2009
-New Forum added "the Showcase"
This new forum "the Showcase" serves only for pictures of completed works, any works in progress go into the vBench category. In the following days an automated script will display images of completed works under the planetFigure banner.
-New Competition Category added "planetFigure 2009 Kit of the Year"
This category contains all nominees for 2009 Kit-of-the-Year. More details on this are coming.
Send in your nominees now.
-Events link added to the navigation bar
CLub Officers and Show event organizers add your event so it gets recognized and is on everyones radar! We have no crystal ball to see when these shows and events occur. People won't know about it if it doesn't get added!
International folks this means you too!
-External Blog integration (beta)
External Blogs is a new planetFigure feature that calls members own blogs hosted on Blogger/Blogspot or WordPress and displays the content here on planetFigure.
What does this mean?
Simple. You can post to your own blog that you own and run and the data you choose will similarly be displayed on planetFigure!
If you want to be included in the syndication, send an email via this form and I will get you setup!

Added 11-16-2009
-New category "the Palette"
I've added a new category called "the Palette" which is a place for members to post their color mixes to share with other members and a point to reference them while doing other posts. Once there are several postings, they will be indexed to a separate page similar to the vBench.

At the bottom right of each post you will see a green arrow that will take you to the top of the page (handy for those long posts!)
-Thread Thumbnails
Now when you view the thread display of the Painting, Sculpting, vBench and Review categories you will see a small thumbnail next to each post. This ONLY works for images uploaded to planetFigure.
-My Gallery link
You will now see a "My Gallery" link under your username info in each post that will take a visitor to your gallery.
-New Gallery Page
There is a link at the top now that will take you to listing of all the members albums/galleries.
Note: A lot of what makes planetFigure easy to use and navigate depends on members using the built-in upload function.
Using another third party system , Photobucket, other forums, etc will not work for front page and thread thumbnails.
Upside of planetFigures uploads :
Your image will be available through out the planetFigure site
You have much more capacity for storage, we have VERY high limitations and quotas.
Your images will be searchable.
We backup.
Downside of third party image site (photobucket or other forums):
The linked images won't break (no more "photobucket images has been moved or deleted" errors).
Limited amount of storage.
Limited amount of bandwidth.
If the files are moved it will break your post.
