Yeah just another opportunist looking to make money recasting other peoples property. As owner of The Lost Battalion I have all rights to this figure. I purchased the rights to this and many other Roll Call figures from Dreamcatcher and deeply resent this. It's tough enough making ends meet in this economy. when this crap happens...makes it tougher. I've contacted him through Ebay, his reply was that "it is what it is" so I deeply doubt he will stop recasting.

Just for the hell of it, I sent this message...curious as to what reply if any, he'll give.
jerk

Is this a counterfeit??? Before I buy....did you cast this from a kit or do you have the rights to the original mold and are using the original mold to make this??
thanks
Texican Knight

even when a fraudulent dealer gave me and others a neg while keeping the money sent, ebay left the negative but did eventually shut down the dealer...who knows, give them a shout and see what happens.

O.K. In the U.S. I'd report this slime to the appropriate State's Attorney's Office. What remedy do you have in the U.K.?

There was no arrangement. He had a bidder on the auction he had going on so could not or did not want to end it. I did not have any sort of arangement with him. Besides who would want a 'plaster cast' figure it would have to be a pain. I guess I will have to keep my eye on him. One nice thing out of it is that it got my butt moving and I will have the 95th officer available this week.

I see it went for $35.For a plaster recast? As they say "a fool and his money.....". As for an arrangement with Scott this is the reply the seller sent me-

"Update on figure...I thought this figure was out of production, but apparently http://www.tlbminiatures.com has it, or Ebay member bigcheese777 who is the owner of The Lost Battalion can supply this Kit in it's original form.

Still cant get over the plaster bit....

Next time you find any counterfeit figures that you have the rights to on eBay,
you can always contact eBay and report the auctions via eBay's veRo system.

Only the copy right holder can do this. Once reported properly, eBay will
take down the auction in a day or two. Give it a try.

Good luck!

No worries Scott as far as I'm concerned. I absolutely love Roll Call figures and Lost Battalions, and there is no way that I would order a crappy recast when I can have one of your professionally cast kits with the great selection and service that you offer.

Rewarding the good guys among the vendors with our loyalty and cash is important in any instance, but especially so in this poor economy, where our favorites could well go belly up if we spend one dime among the pirates out there.

Very true Mike.

In addition to exposing recasters, we need to be exposing the buyers of these recasts. There would be no market for recasts if there was not any client base. Something to think about..

Hi Guys,

This guy has been selling this stuff for some time-I bought a painted Verlinden figure from him bounted on a base not realising that it was a re-cast. The whole thing was crap...I didn't report it but put it down to experience. Needless to say I didn't buy again.
