THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED (22 Feb 2021)

Hi Folks,

The Organisers of the Plymouth Model Show have asked me to post the details for this year’s show.
The poster is the same as for last year (cancelled), apart from some minor details and, of course, the date.

Whether the show will actually go ahead remains uncertain.

I haven’t posted the details regarding how to get there, or parking locations, but these can be found within last year’s announcement, which is located HERE.

Cheers,
Andrew

In person? Interesting. Yeah, I'm curious to see how it goes between now and then. Same goes for MosquitoCon here in the US; the club that stages the show has announced it will be in person, later this year.

Prost!

Like you Brad, I'm somewhat sceptical.
One of the well-attended SW shows in April has already been cancelled. Ours is only two months later.
Firstly in my mind, is the general age of the attendees.
The requirement for controlled walkways, use of public toilets, whether we can have a canteen, etc, etc will probably take its toll on the organisers and implementers.
Then there's the problem of an erroneous public assumption that having been vaccinated makes one immune (ugh!!).
We'll see, but my 'crystal ball' does not show a bright future.
Bugle Call in November should stand a better chance.

Cheers,
Andrew

SHOW CANCELLED

The Show Organisers sent out the following message yesterday to all potential attendees:-

"Despite our upbeat take on the 2021 show, it looks as though the pandemic has beaten us for the second year running.
The additional procedures that we would need to put in place to ensure appropriate social distancing & comply with our risk assessment are just not feasible for a one day show. Indeed, many large events, such as theatre shows, are already postponing dates scheduled for August 2021.
It is therefore our committee’s decision that the 2021 show has to be cancelled & our provisional date for 2022 is Saturday 25th June 2022. Please amend your diaries to cancel this year’s show & pencil in next year as we must be back to normal by then."

I have therefore amended the poster in my original message above, and added the cancellation notification.

We look forward to better times next year, and invite one and all to our 2022 show on Saturday 25th June 2022.

Cheers,
Andrew
