The head is a counterfeit head!

otfietsrek
Where did you get the head from?
It is the head from my PMC kit
It has never been produced in any color of resin than grey! so that head is a counterfeit head!
NICE!

Chris, are you smelling a rat here?
John, are you scratch building this from armature up? To me it looks like there are a mix of other resin parts there, and it's mainly the Load out and Ops kit you've scratch built?

The pose is nice, I do like it, but you really need to get a close look at the Black Hawk Plate carrier, there's more PAL's rows on the real vest, also the left arm looks like a flight suit pocket, which I've never seen on any other item of clothing other than a flight suit oddly enough, I have however seen flight suits with RIADS style pockets on the arms ;)
I do hope you've been honest with everyone, and this is entirely ALL your own work, as it would be a shame if you've mislead the forum but I do like the pose, the gear needs work on pouches etc ;)

If that is true it's only counterfiet if he was trying to sell it. On the market that is.

As long as it's for his own personal projects what can you do, if anything? If you make copies and then go on to make money selling them as commercial pieces or to collectors then that could be a problem. There are a few sculptors/painters I know of that use recast pieces parts for their figures that they sell to collectors. Some may see a problem here, others I'm sure may not. ~Gary

Hi

Great figure, I really like him.
I am using other parts from other kits to help do my own figure too...............just for me not to sell to others.

Who's to say that he didn't

Who's to say that he didn't purchase it off of the web? Duh! and just possibly I am trying to find out if this is the case or not!?
Regardless this persons posting should be removed under PF guidelines!
Have a better day guy's!

I believe that you missed the point!

Gordon
I believe that you missed the point!
I would like to know if indeed he has purchased the head or full figure from another source than NWM, being that the head is cast in yellow resin. that means one of two things, either he cast the head himself or obtained it from another source.
Thanks
Mrosko

You missed my point, Chris.
I would not offer accusations, until it is known that he had cast the head himself.
Also to help your case, post a picture of your head in question -

accusations

It is quite hard not to accuse someone when they have provided evidence in photo form?
Like I have already previously mentioned, the proof is in the yellow resin! all I want to know is, if John cast the head or purchased the head from another source!!!

I could really care less if John made a mold and popped a few, but I do care if he purchased a recast of the figure!

i'm not really sure if i should get into this one but .... if you check out ebay you will find the place awash with recasts of verlinden figures being sold , in little clear plastic bags with a passport sized photo , by all manner of people from china to europe , times being what they are , hobby budgets squeezed , the temptation is there if you are doing a large sized diorama with multiples of figures , i myself am looking into the idea of making my own moulds creating figures from multiple suppliers to get the poses i'm after , i'm sure we've all altered an original because it was more realistic in your view , mind u i only do in 1/35th so maybe it's a quirk with the scale cos the figures are multi adaptable , i'm forever sticking different heads on bodies simply cos i think the facial expression suits the pose
i can't find anything in the post that would indicate the figure was being advertised as available

Thanks Guys

The figure is just now officially being released, we have sold a few at shows and certain shop but very few.
The figure was sculpted by Pongsatorn Kanthaboon, he is an awesome sculptor.
