Wow! You nailed the uniform, I was shocked to see that it was done in oils, perfectly dead flat. I am gaga over the shoulder harness I love the tones with the texture.

Todd, if you undercoat with enamels/Humbrol and gently heat the oils in an oven[50 oC] you'll get a flat finish. If you want a sheen/leather look undercoat in acrylic and dry the same way in the oven. Needs a little experimentation but, it works for me.
