Can anyone help with confirmation as to the colours for czapska cords/flounders, aiguilette and epaulettes of a Polish Guard Lancer trumpeter post 1810. Paul Dawson in his book suggests that they were silver/crimson mixed (prior to this were they white?). This is for the white faced crimson kurtka and the white crowned czapska uniform.

As for the buckles/metal fittings on the cartridge case belt, were these all brass, silver or some brass and some silver.

Many thanks

Neal

White or mostly white, with white metal buckles, etc. This is according to Lucien Rouseleau so is pretty good info but you'll always get discrepancies here and there.

that's depend of the rank of the trumpet...
there were difference between trumpet major, brigadier trumpet and simple trumpet.

Thanks Ivo,

The figure I’m doing is a trumpeter and the H&C pictures you’ve provided is very useful and the details/description of silver/crimson seems to correspond with what Paul Dawson describes in his book.

Many thanks

Neal
