Paul thanks.
I used the dry brush technique using Apple Barrel acrylic paints, they are inexpensive and can be purchased at AC Moore or Michael's.
Dry brushing is very tedious; you must be very patient when using this technique.
A- Undercoated the entire pelt with Apple Barrel Territorial Beige to which I added a little Chestnut.
B- Dry brushed the entire pelt with Territorial Beige.
C- First highlight -Dry brushed territorial beige to which I added some white.
D--second highlight - first highlight to which I added more white.
E- Continued the highlight process by progressively adding more white to previous highlight color
F-Blending between the colors is done by dry brushing with previous mix.
F- The Spots were done in oil using a basic mixture of Burnt Umber , Prussian Blue and Magenta to which I added a little Naples yellow for the highlights.
I hope this helps.
Cheers and a happy 2007.
