Thanks again Nap,
Glad you like it, a labour of love on my part.

A great version of, as you say, a classic kit... in fact one I've had sitting around half painted for more years than I care to remember... not sure whether this fantastic version inspires me or puts me off ;)

I must dig it out and assess things (strip and start again?).

Stylewise: authentic though it is, I never really liked the eboshi/court-hat style helmet and had plans to replace it with something more workmanlike.

Love the green and detailing on the jinbaori/surcoat etc though I'm personally not too keen on all-over the gold finish, especially on the kote/sleeves where I think the mail itself should be in a darker contrasting lacquer (but maybe that's just me (y)) .

Many thanks Neil

Its still a Wip and the mail will be darker when it is finished so good spot there. I tend to do things lights followed by shadows. Pull out the Samurai and finish it dont strip as it will be a never ending story. Im converting the helmetbut all will be revealed when its finished

Hi John... interesting that you don't like the helmet either :)

Look fwd to seeing the final treatment.

Thanks Neil, I do like the original helmet and I've seen the original Kiyomasa version , but the conversion im doing is a little different

Superb work John, amazing freehand.
Following with interest, don't leave it six months for the next update:)

Cheers

Bill
