dopey.jpg Rick ..... I think Mark had his tongue firmly in his cheek :D

I want to apologize to everyone on PF for posting any dirty laundry. This is not for that reason and I find myself feeling stupid for doing so. What ever is between myself and another member are private as far as I`m concerned. I don`t need to draw attention to myself I just want to enjoy the website for what it is. Sorry again, Paul..............

From the Kansas Kid, a.k.a. The Miami Jayhawk, Rick Brownlee:
Gentlemen and Ladies, I do so appreciate your kind words about this
old modeler. Yes, I am still here, and I do try to look at this site each day.
An acquaintance of mine said that I was embarrassing myself with the
things I was writing on this site; especially that fact that I was stating my
age too much of the time. Well, unfortunately, I'm now working on my
80th year. I'm still able to live on my own, drive a car and fend for
myself. I am sorry that I stayed away for so long. . . I was just so hurt
from the remarks from a person I thought was my friend. . . Thus I've been
only an observer of this site, . . . and not a contributor. I will try to ammend
that situation and do so appreciate your kind words, ladies and gentlemen,

Rick Brownlee, in Heartland America, a.k.a. Kansas Kid & The Miami
Jayhawk. ( ah. . . I'm the Miami Jayhawk because I graduated from the U.
of Kansas and worked for quite a period at The Miami Herald in Miami
as a newsroom artist. . . )

I'm glad to hear from you on here. I recall your story about watching pilots training when you were a child and how many of those men never returned. I love such memories, sad and otherwise, as it's the personal touch of recollections and memoirs on top of the overall story which make history interesting to me. I also think you're a first class modeller and very creative in what you do.

Cheers

Thank you, Huw for the kind word. Yes, the study of the past,
as I see it, is important. We need to know where we come from,
in order to understand who we are now, and where we are
going. Kind regards, Rick

Dear Rick,

well said - I couldn't agree more.

Best wishes
