I finished this Harton Crow Dancer bust. I modified it by re-positioning the head to give the effect of greater movement.
The flesh is painted in oils and the rest is acrylics.
I made the headdress from paint brushes.

Like it a lot Pete - the pose change and the brush bristle headdress are really effective and I've always found the "hand print" facial marking to be especially striking (and particularly menacing) - wouldn't want this guy bearing down on me with a tomahawk !

You might be right. I did do additional work on the face, but not the shoulders. Being old and half blind, I didn't notice. Thanks, and I will take a closer look. Not too late to correct it.

The headdress was a nightmare. First I thought I would use deer hair, but it was too coarse. Then I thought of the paint brushes. I super glued and cut paint brush hairs in small groups, then added each group to the main piece.
