No idea Jeff. But that happens sometimes, guys just suddenly seem to vanish. Probably in some cases personal circumstances intervene (family etc.) and they just don't have the time any more, or perhaps they just lose interest.

Another one "missing in action" is Marijn Van Gils. He used to post on here as well, and seemed to be everywhere in the hobby in the '00s, winning show awards all over the place and having his work featured in the modelling press etc. Then all of a sudden nothing, and I haven't seen anything new from him in several years.

I like your avatar pic by the way. I'm a big fan myself!

Thanks Steve, yes mate, I'm on a couple of forums for modelling and there have been quite a few that have just vanished and nobody seems to have heard anything about them.

The avatar pic, yeah mate, love a lot of the British shows, but Minder would have to be my favourite, followed closely by Fools and Horses!

Cheers,
Jeff.

Jay Hollopeter left Planet Figure at the same time his attitude toward his art changed.....his artwork developed from the usual restricted military and photo realistic stuff we're all used to here, into something fascinating and refreshingly imaginative.

Thanks Mark,

Yes, it certainly took a different route than the conventional figure painting!

Cheer's,
Jeff.
