Roger, these look great to me!
Seeing your work and the available subject matter, I getting "curiouser and curiouser" about the whole world of flats.
Question: are these true flats or demirondes, and either way, which do you prefer?

Colin

Pedro, Ron, thanks very much both of you. :)

Dan, thank you, the colours are more or less correct. I used quite a bit of Paynes Grey in various areas, for example the shadow of the figs in the snow to try to give a cold effect.

Thanks Colin. These are true flats although only engraved on one side. They are available from http://www.fredericus-rex.de/ and in North America http://www.thelittletinsoldier.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21
I don't have any preference, I just paint what takes my fancy.:)

Thank you Kev.
I'm beginning to get the hang of these oils now. I tried using the Artisan medium but it took forever to dry so now I'm just using plain old water. I have used thinners as used with regular oils with good results but as a corner of the dining room painter have gone back to using water so as not to upset anyone. :D
