Hi Guys,

Here is a piece I have just completed for a client, he asked me to post images prior to release.
The due launch date is September, Euro Militaire!

As you can see it depicts a French Imperial Guard Waterloo.

Scale is 1:9th It will be cast in resin with some white metal parts.

Price and official launch will be posted by the owner in due course!

Thanks for looking.

I hope like him!

Beautiful....he would also do really well for the Emperor's 1814 goodbye to the Old Guard before his trip to Elba (recall the scene in the movie Waterloo)...the sadness of the eagle bearer is evident in your sculpt.

There's one of these bearskins in the National Army Museum, Chelsea. Even allowing for the passage of time, it is merely a tube covered in (now threadbare) bearskin with a front plate and top plate poorly attached. You wonder what these bearskins looked like on the morning of Waterloo after the night's rainfall. Had they been covered or were they looking bedraggled?

A very nicely executed bust, as is to be expected by a master of the genre.

Reminds me a little of the 100mm scale "Old Guard at Bay" sculpted by Mike Tapavica and released by Hinchliffe Models back in 1981. No that didn't have the lettering etc sculpted in the standard.
Beautiful job on this one Carl.

Hello Carl, There are undoubtedly many who would like to see this done as a full figure, but in bust form, the expression on his face becomes even more powerful. A very beautiful piece Carl, the detail is amazing. A must have for me. Congrats, with Regards, SG:happy:

See you in a couple of months Del for more fun and frolics...
