Awesome.

Am I correct that this is a relatively rare offering in this scale ?
At 1/9, this promises to be be an imposing figure.

Can I request a close up picture of the face ?

BTW....you may want to showcase this on coolminiornot as well.
They will like it !

No worries.
Head looks great.
I may not be able to resist this.

Ross...do you have an expected availability date ?
Will this be a limited edition ?
If so, expected number of copies ?

I've had a few pre-orders on this one which should be ready for posting within the next 10 days or so and we hope to have it on general release in 2 -3 weeks. It won't be a limited edition piece.
Cheers

Nice
The pose looks like he could go with an adversary attacking him

Very interesting thought Jason
The viking is on a downward slope so an opponent would make a very dramatic looking vignette. Certainly food for thought - possibly an anglo saxon, not sure who else the vikings scrapped with ... probably anyone!

He could also be posed falling back from an attack. Another Viking would be perfect, I'm sure the different clans/tribes fought each other when they weren't raiding. Or an Anglo-Saxon during a raid in England. I would love to see another Viking or Saxon with his ax over his head ready to smash it down on this guys shield...or head!
This one immediately reminded me of the two 90mm Post Militaire Indians fighting.

This pair look fantastic Jason- certainly food for thought. A 200mm vignette would be a novel idea.
Thanks

If this were a full fig and the same scale, they would go well together

I think this would be a great pairing but I know that different sculptors have slightly different ideas on scales on occasion. I think an opponent for the winter warrior would defenitely be impressive. I seem to recall that there is a legend that the vikings managed to reach North America so how about fighting a native American - may be a bit too fanciful.
Gordon

I think that evidence now suggests that it is more than a legend that the Vikings reached North America. Intriguing idea.

Geoff

Oh yeah, there is little doubt that the Vikings reached North America and settled here for a time, long before Christopher C. made his voyages. And there is evidence that they had conflicts with the natives which they referred to as Skraelings, sometimes thought to mean "Barbarians or Foreigner" (ironic, eh?),who may have been the reason they didn't stay longer. If they could hang in Iceland and Greenland for decades, what would be so hard about Newfoundland? Angry neighbors perhaps? It would be an interesting idea, but I would prefer some Viking on Viking (or Saxon on Viking) violence. More chainmail and axes that way! :dead: :dead::dead:

Oh yeah!
