The way you animate your busts is just amazing, another winner. And as Gordon has said, very fitting with the forthcoming anniversary.

Hi Guys

just brought this one back to the top, as I am in the process of painting the box art on this one and the German Trench raider

I will have some images up as soon as I have some to show you

I've just picked up this superb sculpt at Figureworld following a long wait for it to turn up from Model Cellar, I'm really pleased with it but there's just one nagging question in my mind...The Grenade vest/surcoat he's wearing?
I'm sure there were many variations of Grenade vest's , some of them being homemade examples, especially when it came to required needs for Trench raiding kit, but I've never seen this particular version in any WW1 photos, having said that, I'm sure Carl is correct in sculpting this style & I therefore know it must have existed, but what would it have been made of cloth/cotton or leather?
I'm thinking cotton, so just wondering if anybody out there could put me right on this one?

Cheers(y)
Jim

Just found it on the Internet! looks like it was made of cotton with a "crutch strap" coming between the legs....Ooooo!;) reckon I must have been wrong calling it a Grenade vest as it looks to me that it is "body armour" if anyone knows different please let us know(y)
Cheers
Jim

Hi Carl,
Yep! thanks for that, that's the culprit!...I've just found out it was called the "Chemico body shield" apparently very popular with "Poor Bloody Infantry" but although very effective it saw limited use ( some things never change eh!)

Something new on WW1 I've learnt today!(y)
Cheers
Jim

P.S just got to add his legs now;)
