Hi guys. As some of you know, i am missing a piece from Andrea's 54mm mounted Polish Winged Hussar and they will not respond to my requests for a new one, so it seems l need to make my own. Im missing the large sword that is hung from the side of the saddle, along the saddle blanket. Here's my delema, I have no clue how to sculpt a sword. Would someone mind giving me some ideas on how to sculpt a sword that is in its scabbard? Also, if anyone has this kit, would you mind measuring the sword for me and taking for photos of it? This would help me greatly. I love how this kit is coming together and i dont want to have to scrap it because Andrea has crappy customer service. Any help would be great! Thanks! This is the part i am referring to:

David,

You could make the scabbard from plastic card stock and give a coat of magic scupt or Apoxi scupt to build it up three dimentionally. Lead foil or thin plastic strip can be used for the straps and gussets, etc. Brass rod and foil could be used to make the broadswords hilt and guard.

Whom did you purchase the kit from? That vendor should be able to help you, even if it means opening another kit to get your missing item. The vendor can then deal directly with Andrea Miniatures for the part.

Hope this helps,

John Stonaker
