I was looking for a relatively quick project and remembered I've had this classic mini bust sitting in my closet for ages. He might not be that pretty, but the sculpt has a ton of character which made it a lot of fun to paint.

Lately I've been focusing on improving my use of light and light conditions, something I continued on this piece. I worked blue into the shadows for ambient light and more yellow into the highlights. And then I also painted the cast shadows, which is most noticeable for the helmet but you'll also see it from the nose and a bit of the cheek.
