A couple of days ago my wife and I were privileged to attend the graduation of our son Aircraftman Charles Stothard from the basic training unit at Wagga. We'd like to share some pics, IMG_0871.JPGCharlie in bush camo.jpegIMG_0885.JPGCharlies camo group shot.jpg IMG_0896.JPG

My late father served as a navigator on 463 Squadron, RAAF. Your son has joined a service with a first class reputation and history. My heartfelt congratulations.

Thank you one and all,...couldn't be more chuffed.
He will train as a Avionics Technican. His preference is to eventually work on the huge C17 Globemaster III transporter aircraft rather than on the fighter jets.
This is an old video but gives you a good idea of what a C17 is like.

He should like that job. Great plane, I've flown all over the world in one. Congratulations.
