I recently purchased this figure at World Expo and I have to say this is a fine looking figure. Included with the figure is a colorful uniform chart. Unfortunately, I have zero books on Prussian Hussars circa 1762 (the date given on the box). Can you pF'ers point me in the right direction as far as uniform books that I can read as well as see different uniform plates?

Thanks,
Jim Patrick

for variations on the uniforms look for the "L'histoire des hussards prussiens" they are 228 color plates from different times, the only place you can get then that I know is www.lelivrechezvous.com, sadly I don't know where to get it in the US.

If you want to make a convertion into a French Hussard check the book from Louis XV's Army (4) Light Troops and Specialists (Men-at-Arms 308) by René Chartrand and the Illustrations of Eugene Leliepvre. For more French Hussards in the 18cent check the work of Mr Leliepvre on the Hussard du marais edition of color plates of the French army. Look for HDM 2 - Hussards 1700-1770, I think you can get with Chuck of Red Lancers

Good luck

I have the Osprey book on the Prussian cavalry of the period and would be willing to scan the approriate bits if you like. I can try to get to it this weekend if yor interested.

Once again, pF comes through and all of it's members. Where else can you get so much help? Thanks to one and all! (y) (y)
