After the troubles in the beginning and the end of the process, finally i've got it finished to give to the owner. Really is a great miniature very well sculpted and casted (white metal). In my opinion is not difficult to paint because inside the box you find a small guide uniforms. The worst is the fragility to put it from the cork where i paint to the base cause the right arm an the shreath at his left are easily broken or chipped. The best is one of the elements painted apart and glued after put the figure in the base. I painted the arm appart. Otherwise, a lot of fun painting it.

I was testing differents modes with the camera, and i've got a couple of rounds with "decent" photos. I put them, and please, said me what you think is better of the two

Round one

Round two (Yeah, it sounds like Street fighter :p )

After all the disasters you have made a great worl!!!
I prefer second round. The colors seem more natural to me.

Much apreciate the comments folks, and the opinions about photos.
Ditto. Did you use an airbrush?
Yes, jacket and trousers have the base and first lights and shadows with airbrush. I have not enough control to do more, and IMO airbrush is a great tool and save me time, but is impersonal. Brush give the character and customize, and are finished with it.
That's one beautiful looking piece (y)! Your brushwork truly brought out a lot of details.

Thanks Ian. Is my first in this period, and searching for information to paint it, the uniforms and equipment like me a lot. I'll paint more miniatures from those ages

This turned out very nice, like it a lot. Your highlighting and shading is quite extreme, but in this scale it works very well I think.

Also like the second set of pictures better. The first set has a yellow cast that is unpleasingly distorting the colours.
For the next time, maybe you could difuse the light somewhat by shining the light through a sheet of kitchen towel. That will soften the highlights a bit.
Can you set the white balance on your camera? I found that very important for getting good pictures of models.

Cheers
Adrian

Thanx for your lines Ferris.
I'm spanish, and we use to paint with a lot of contrast. In fact, i believe that till 75 mm you can take a lot of contrast without too much risk. Bigger scales don't allow it without a high skill painting, and i have not it. Some puntuals 90mm miniatures can be forced without too much risk. I've got a firend who says that with smooth transitions you can contrast without limits. He paints much getter than me.
