Hello all,

I've been working on this JMD miniature's 65mm Prussien Uhlan 1914.

JMD miniatures web tells the size of this kit is 54mm, but it's little bit larger than standard 54mm. 65mm is the actual size.

I scratch built the pike with 1.2mm and 0.3mm brass wires.

Primed with TAMIYA surfacer primer.

Started painting from face, hat, uniform, and then equipments.

Still have a lot of things to do to impove its quality but I'd like to share it and want to get some advices or comments from you all.
Any kind of comment will be welcomed so...feel free to comment! ;)

I think he looks pretty good. I know you said you're not finished yet, but maybe touch the highlights a bit more on his leather & the red trim. Will you put him on a base with some groundwork?

Can I ask you what paints, colors you used?
Ed

Thank you very much, Davide, your comment made me really motivated.:)

love the face.
Carl.

Thanks Carl. I try to make its face serious looking to express that he is preparing for the battle.

Excellent work already.
A little extra highlighting on some of the extreme lights will turn it into a stunning piece of work.

Cheers,
Adrian

Kazufumi this looks great as it is. I dont know about highlights but some weathering at the edges of the leather parts whould look nice. Ecxellent fleshtones.

Hi! Kazufumi.
Excellent progress!
I think your skill is top-ranking.
An expression of a face and a uniform is very wonderful.
When instructing a way of detailed painting, if possible, I'm happy.
I'm looking forward to completion of your work very much.

Thanks for you good advice. I didn't realize before you guys pointed out the leather stuff, so I will try something on it.

Thank you very much for your comment, Mitsutaka, I'm really glad to have such a praise.

I will try to share my idea about painting as much as possible.

Any comment on this recipe will be welcomed, too.

As Mike asked, I thought this figure needs base with some groundwork on it, so I decided to build it.

I used wood putty for the ground.
