I built this diorama a month or so ago and posted it here on Planet Figure, so for those who didn't see it before, both figures were originally busts sculpted by Rob Lane for his Elan 13 range of figures & busts.

After much soul searching and many tears, curses and the odd tantrum, I had to admit I had made bit of a huge cock-up on this little 1/12th diorama!.....:nailbiting:
The right leg on Lord Flashheart was completely wrong and was coming out of his body at a stupidly low angle making his body look ridiculously long....and the original base was just too small to accommodate both figures comfortably therefore I decided upon drastic action... Flashheart and Baldrick were removed with minor damage to Baldrick's feet which were re-sculpted and painted then fixed to the new Walnut base.
Flashheart was a different story who had his right leg completely removed and resculpted, a belt to his leather coat was also added hanging loosely behind him and a new skirt to his tunic was added, the whole figure apart from his face was completely repainted, before fixing to the new base upon the sandbagged steps that had also been salvaged from the original base. the whole groundwork was re-sculpted and painted and the poster was moved to a better position just to the left and behind Pvt Baldrick, I added a single poppy to the front of the base in remembrance of the sacrifice of the Great war,
I think the whole thing now looks a lot better, hope you think so too.
Cheers
Jim

Cheers Kev....I discovered some new swear words over these two little buggers!!.....

Sounds like 'a cunning plan'.
Until you pointed it out JImbo, I would not have known but the whole thing looks better, well done that man.
Just one thing Jimbo, where you going to put Blackadder.....

It's so hard to make significant revisions to something that is 'finished.' Great job doing it, a reminder to all of us to keep striving!

Well done Jim, I know from personal experience what it's like to admit you got it wrong and making the commitment to do it again with sculpting, you did an excellent job with the corrections and whole scene is improved, nice one mate.

Cheers

It looks great Jim. Credit to you for revisiting it, certainly looks much better and worth the hard work.

Thanks Rob, it cost a lot of cursing, spitting, swearing and the occasional thought of using it as target practise for my airgun but like you say worth the effort in the end, I'm happy with it now..(y)
Cheers
