This may be a stupid question but...

My harddrive is getting really full so I'd like to strip so of my files. My question is, if I move pictures that I have uploaded on here, off my drive onto discs... will it effect the pics uploaded on the site?

I am a computer illiterate so I have no idea how these things interconnect on the magical universe of the Interweeb.

Please, don't point and laugh.

Thanx in advance for any advice

Colin

Hey man, maybe just open up a photobucket account. I t is how I like to post photos on here through links. It is not perfect, but works for me. Then storage is not a worry.

If you uploaded them direct here, which I think you did, no effect. If you linked from photobucket or flicker, moving or changing the host file kills the image here. Have you investigated a usb hard drive? You can get a massive one for about $75.

I agree with crf, just get and external hard drive, and move whatever files onto that! such as pics /music/video. It saves having to delete anything you may need in the future! . (y)

th.jpg Sorry could not resist!

So if I understand, moving files off my main drive will not interfere with pics already directly uploaded to the site.
I was thinking about using disks but an external storage drive sounds better.

Thanks for the advice. And thanks for your sensitivity mark ;) If I had a feeling, it would be hurt right now :(

:D,

Colin.
Did you upload the original pics from your ' Computer's', 'Picture library' ? or an external source, such as Cloud, or Photo-Bucket?
