This was my very first attempt at painting a miniature. Some ten years ago I came across a Modeler's Magazine and there was this article showing this bust in painting progress. I immediately fell in love with the bust and ordered it through the Internet. It arrived on a Saturday and I spent the whole weekend finishing it. Needless to say it didn't turn out quite like I saw on the magazine :p but it was enough to encourage me continue this wonderful hobby of ours.

Sorry, cannot remember who wrote the article but the Bust was sculpted by the legendary Poste Militaire Team, most probably Julian Lamb whom I had the Honor to meet at Euro '99.
I recently got the bust out and decided to re-do it again after gaining a little more experience with a brush :). Hope you like it.

Regards to all.

Nice work Giorgio! I also have this bust. Its still stashed away somewhere in one of my drawers as I have been reluctant to paint it as I have never painted a north american indian before. Maybe one day.....

I started figure painting in a similar fashion. One day I just came across box art pictures of the earliest Young Miniatures WW2 busts. Even with that prominent "generic face" issue of theirs back in those days, I was completely "wowed" by this much cooler way to "paint" one's war. Since then I gave up plastic armour kits for resin figure kits, and my wallet just burnt and burnt.
