Hello everyone. Finished another job. This time I took a rather interesting figure from Romeo models. These warriors were called Rajputs, these are the so-called knights of medieval India, they represent a military-feudal caste in northern India. The size of the figure is 75 mm. Metal. Work for a private collection.

Hi Ilya

Great to see something , a very different subject , well painted as always , clever work on the whites against the sash colour

The animal looks good as well

Nice presentation on the basework as well

One very lucky and no doubt satisfied customer

There are a two figure vignette with the same theme from the long vanished company Aitna, also with a rajput,a warrior and a waran, from a Angus McBride painting.

The painting on this figure is great. The monitor lizard is unique and highly unusual. Internet search shows an interesting mixture of fact and fiction. Regardless, the end result is, again, remarkable.

Yes,and IMHO opinion they were far better than Romeo's release.Unfortunately Aitna never credited the sculptor of this two figure vignette in 90mm.A part pf my GA for years and a dream project for the unforseeable future although I could never hope to match Ilya's brushwork.

Oda.
