Hi all!!
Once introductions have taken place, I'm going to render this guy starting from MJ's Italian Knight bust. First at all made a somekind of preproduction sketch in photshop to see if what I had in mind was possible:
And Since looked quite cool I dediced going ahead and start with the real thing.

This is how it actually looks now carring the two banners. I had to amputate his thumb to make room for the poles, It will need to be reconstructed sooner or later...Next step will be sculpting the surcoat

Here's a previous pic:
I had to reinforce all the pieces with thick metal rods to counterbalance the weight of the flags, on shoulder, wrist and all along inside a selfmade plaster plinth from the main body to the wood base..
Now he has more bone screws inside him than Valentino Rossi but he stands firmly...

Hi everbody
Surcoat done and already primed, now I can start with the funny part!
Also while sculpting the surcoat started with the heralics on the shield..Now it's more or less finished before the weathering process

What a hard challenge, Gerard. I like a lot what you have done, with the heraldry, face, metals and leather.
It is all brush work, or do you used the airbrush too?
