Rat of TOBRUK

Morning everyone , going through my cabinet i've decided to get stuck in and finish this figure.
It's another naked-army kit which i have done some modification to, resculpted the right arm and sculpted a sling, also added woolen ankle puttees and resculpted the socks and added some old hankerchief to represent a hescian cover for the helmet and have to finish sculpting the leather watch cover.
All painted in JoSonja acrylics thus far , face is almost finished a few more touches before i'll be happy ,shirt is complete.
I know i'm a sucker for punishment but i love the scale and detail in these big boys, plus the big thing i can actually see what i'm doing

A little more progress this morning, blocked in the base khaki for the shorts and added some hair on the arms and adjusted the flesh tone on the face slightly.

My day off and sitting at the workbench in the gloom of the aftermath of cyclone Debbie, North Queensland copped the full brunt of it now we in the South east of Queensland are copping the rain depression, flash flooding and a forecast of up to 400mm of rain in the next 24 hours may invest in a snorkle mask and fins me thinks,adding some more highlights to the shorts and retouching the webbing , i've blue tacked the rifle in place to take some photographs.

A little more progress , rifle is glued in place and have started process of adding a little hair ( or more the impression of hair ) to the legs , all comments and suggestions are most welcome

Have begun to finish the left arm it's now glued in place, now to refine the flesh a little more then complete the watch band. Starting to all come together now, socks , puttees , boots and base to go then dirty him up a bit
