Hi Wayne, I don't think anything will make me a better painter, but this lamp enables me to see the detail much clearer, and therefore add more detail.
It's better for my eyes, and I can spend longer time at the bench than before.
It's made a great difference to me.

I've just been painting some 54mm faces, and I have some Vision Aid magnifying glasses (recommended on here). These have a small LED light, and I find if I turn that on it really gives some focused light for doing tiny details (like pupils). I've not bothered with it before but it really helps. So those and the R9 are working for me.

I bought two of these from Amazon when they are on sale for CAD$75 each (44 GBP) which has 3 led light bars and the two on the side are rotatable.
