Hi Ralph, this looks very neat and as Roger has said the whites look very good, on a couple of small points the eyes look a bit starey but that might just be the angle of the pics and i would put some wear on the shield to try not to make the red cross so red, they are just minor points and i think you have finished this very well

Thanks Paul,much appreciated.
The points you make are valuable to me I always have trouble with eyes and I see what you mean about the weathering on the shield, I will keep this in mind when I do another shield
Cheers

What scale is it mate, when i do eyes i always do them first and then add the eye lids, that way your not trying to get inbetween the lines, if you see what i mean

Thanks,Smudger,Maco and Zane,much appreciated.
Zane for the helmet I base coated Tamiya xf19 then a pre-shade of x1.I then used Tamiya titanium silver misted on,then painted the gold with Tamiya Titanium gold.I then used a very thin coat of Tamiya smoke all over, the final touch was to use Games Workshop runefang steel drybrushed but not too dry with and old stiff brush.Hope this explains it.
Cheers

I to think you've done a nice job on the whites, and the metal work on the helmet looks good, what weathering technique did you use on the white?

cheers Zane
Sorry Zane I told you how I did the helmet:facepalm:not the white, here goes.
I based coated with xf19 then pre-shaded with x1,I then misted(airbrush)white over this to still show the preshade, this looked cold and I then remember Nap telling me about his white.I went over all the pre-shade areas with xf55 deck tan and then misted white over this.I further highlighted with Titanium white oil.I then used pale yellow/brown pastels to add further shade. For the lower areas of dirt I used a mixture of pale yellow and browns pastels.
Hope this explains it this time:).
Cheers
Ralph
