This subject represents a soldier of a unit that participated in all the conflicts in which Argentina took part, since the British invasions in 1809.

First I took a copy of a skull, a jaw and a torso and fix them together:

Then I started to sculpt the face and neck:

After finishing the base for the bust, I made a silicone mold, to use the copies to make other subjects with different uniforms.
I made a copy with an acrylic resin and started sculpting the collar and the hat:

The jacket:

The face:

I hope you like it.

Thanks for your comments John and Eduardo. I have made almost 30 busts, and now I'm working in two more at the same time. They're all in 1:6 scale (200mm).

Interesting technique and a beautiful result. I wish I had the same skills as you obviously seem to have.

If you allow me to make one minor comment about the plume though. In that scale maybe you should have tried the real thing instead of sculpting it. I think that would have looked better.

Does that mean you have them ready for altanta ony or mfca .

Thanks everybody!!!(y)(y)(y)

mcsneed17; what does "altanta" or "mfca" mean? I'm sorry, I don't understand that.o_O

Johan, I found a real plume of that size (from a pigeon... :D), but I was afraid it was going to deteriorate...

Thanks again.
