A few weeks ago, I finished work on the sculpture of a reiter рodpraporshchik (sub-ensign?) nobleman from the regiments of a foreign order. These regiments in the Tsardom of Russia were formed from 1632 and with some changes remained throughout the entire XVII century up to the military reforms of Peter I.

Scale 1:30 (54 mm).

Wow!! nice nice work!! how do you made the spear??
For a spear, i used a wire with a diameter of 0.8 mm and 9 wires with a diameter of 0.4 mm.

I pulled the wire between the two nails and used soldering to fix the wire. Although for a thin wire, you can use glue.

Left - glued spear;
middle - soldered spear;
right - defective soldered spear (the wire was not strained during soldering).

Nice work really, I like the relaxed pose. The face of the other head (with the helmet) I like a little more, but overall it's great work ...

Cheers Borek

P.S. - wip of spear is amazing. Looks great!

Very good work.I like the period and the subject and I like the tutorial on how to make a fluted spear.Do you plan on painting it yourself?
