Retiarius Primus Palus - "I live because I am the best!"
Retiarius is a type of Roman gladiator fighting with net, trident and almost no armour (fisherman) usually paired against a heavily armoured but slow Secutor (fish).
I realised that African gladiators are hugely under-represented in the world of miniature, so here is my contribution to the cause.
This is a 200mm bust of an African slave fighter.
Sculpey, wire, Magic sculpt, Green Stuff

I hope you enjoy it.

If commercial, it will be a huge gap filled! The fictional Oenomaus is a character with a fantastic modelling appeal!

(I'm saying "fictional" because the real Oenomaus was a gaul. Spartacus series exhibited the character as a slaved African Numidian)

Please ... sell it!!! :) Just like you said - Numidians are notoriously short in miniature form!

Thank you, friends!
I am pleased with it ( which is a rare occasion in my case  )

Mike - "Superb - would look very good next to the Foxwood Figures Murmillo " - How dare you, Sir?? it will only look good next to MY OWN secutor :D (hint hint). But seriously, I dont think they are a good match.

Of course, its commercial - just needs a little more details worked out as to who where and how;)
It would be helpfull to know regarding who will be interested so feel free to message me.
